Quiet, excellent hotel for visiting Luxor
The Hotel is conveniently located in a safe area close to Museum, train station and various shopping areas. You might even walk from there up to Khan El-Khalili (20 minutes)
They ask an extra commition on top the price stated in the reservation for payments done with credit card. The amount is reltively small, so I did not argue, but since on all my history of bookings with Booked.net that was my first time I experienced such a request, I think they might avoid it.
Price, clean and standard of this 3 star hotel is much better than many 4 star hotels in Egypt.
Great venue just off the main road in Luxor, very clean inside.
There were not enough towels out and the couple that were were wet.
Amazing cleanliness & luxury. Excellent value for money.
We couldn't stay another night cos it was full house by then. ;) There are some taxi drivers & kalishaw riders perennialy trying to harass you as you get outta the hotel... Just avoid them & heads straight to the street.
For such a low rate we didnt expect much of the hotel. But we were wrong. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a nice view of Luxor temple, the West Bank and of course the Nile. Also, check out the roof terrace. Some of the best views in town with a beer in hand.
Breakfast was ok but some of it was not very fresh.
Very good location, close to railway and Luxor temple, very large room, clean. Good breakfast
The pool on the rooftop was why we booked the hotel and it was really nice although a bit worn out.
The hotel is okay but everything is a bit worn out and old.
Central location, nice rooftop swimming pool, fabulous views across the Nile and Karnak and Luxor Temples. Working lift.
For those not used to Egypt, bring ear plugs.
bad food, no help from staff who spoke barely english, no credit card payments possible, rooftop was a mess, electricity fall-out, no warm water.
Location is ok.
I stayed alone in this hotel ..before later expected travelgroups for eastern holiday .. hotwater switched off ..central a/c switched off..no buffet breakfast.just received a plate with cheese ..no bread available for breakfast .had to ask for coffee made.... Corridor dimly lit(light switched off) cats in the building..and no visible service staff.. It is now a run down hotel..also lacking maintenance..
Warning: bed bugs!!! The first night I stayed in this hotel I got eaten alive by bed bugs. I got over 200 bites all over my body. Speaking with other guests this problem is quite prevalent in the hotel. I understand this is a large problem for international hotels throughout the world, but anywhere else I have ever been the staff offers you a free night or significant discount if you are hit by bedbugs. even in Africa and south Asia... Facilities were up to par for the price, but I did not enjoy my stay.
Hot water heater was broken, so there was no hot water throughout the entire hotel during my stay. I understand that things like this happen, but was shocked by the fact the hotel refused to offer me any kind of discount for for not being able to take a proper shower during my stay. After getting hit by bed bugs the staff at reception transfered me to a new room without much hassle, however I was unable to coerce the management into giving me a re-imbursement for the night in which I was eaten. The following night in a new room I was unable to sleep at all from the unbelievable itching the bites caused me.
panoramic views of luxor from rooftop pool terrace. good central location.
housekeeping staff walk in room without knocking. No top sheets or bath towels replaced.Run down buffet at breakfast.Lack of caring service.View of central shaft from internal room window so no daylight.
Great value and location. The 24 hour reception was handy. Easy access to most sights on the East Bank. I was free to leave my bag for a few hours after checkout without a charge though it was left out in a very public area of the Lobby bar.
Information on the Internet was incorrect. The wifi is no longer free, you must pay for an hour or the length of your stay. They do not take credit cards as also stated online. Though I had a confirmation via email that my room was booked they did not have me in their schedule at check in. The bathroom and table surfaces had not been wiped down in a while. There was residue from soap, drink glasses, water, etc. I had to clean it all myself. The bed sheets were used and even had someone's hairs all over. Luckily I have a travel sheet. They only cleaned my room on the last night of my 3 night stay.
the one good thing about this hotel is the location. bathroom ok.
awful horse poo smell coming from outside in the reception and lobby. the room was dirty and unsweeped for ages, impossible to move beds around and put them together( we had two single beds although we wanted one double bed).
